To launch Hidden Gems Reviews, I've chosen a beautiful book I found a few weeks ago: Book One of The Happiness Club, Izzy's Story: Life After Separation. To keep things simple, and in hopes that more than a few people who stop by this page will choose to purchase an affordably priced $0.99 Kindle copy of Sarah Hope's debut novel and get to know Izzy and her family, I share the review I posted to The Happiness Club's Amazon page.
"I so enjoyed The Happiness Club. The difficult subject of divorce with small children is handled with wit, honesty, and a story that moves through scenes I could easily understand and clearly imagine. There are a few typos, but as I was thoroughly engaged in the story they were easily overlooked. By the time I read the last page I had made a friend of the main character and come to love her children, as well as her friends. The author handles our messy humanness beautifully. I highly recommend this to anyone who appreciates true-to-life fiction."
If you do choose to read The Happiness Club, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
You can find Sarah Hope on Facebook at Sarah Hope.
And now I'm ready to begin Book Two: Izzy's Story: Moving On.
